The township was created primarily to prevent the City of Las Vegas from annexing the Strip.

[edit] Self Promotion
The admin Lucky 6.9 and user 89020 both seem to agree that making mention of a major business is self-promotion on my part, even though the only connection I have to the law firm of Jones Vargas is I live in the same metropolitan area. This seems to be a case of not knowing who this company is. The law firm is powerful and influential, and as the sole legal counsel of companies like Ford Motor Company and nVidia Corporation, it is not a small two-bit ambulance chaser firm. I feel it deserves mention as being located here, as the firm houses a number of pretty prominent people, ranging from Joe W. Brown, a member of the Nevada Athletic Commission to former Governor of Nevada Bob Miller. It is a significant company and I feel it should be mentioned. --Visual77 03:08, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- Let me understand this better. You want to add the name of a law firm to the Paradise, Nevada page, because it is located there, and they have a lot of clients that are relitivly notable, but most people have never heard of, correct? [edit] Unincorporated Township?
I don't really understand why Enterprise and Paradise are separate from Las Vegas, and these articles do nothing to explain this. They also don't do anything to tell you where exactly their cutoffs are, with the exception of longitude and latitude lines (which most people don't know by heart). Does anyone know why these townships are separate, and can they explain? I heard a while ago it was so the City of Las Vegas couldn't annex them, but I don't know if that is true, or what it means. I see that someone else addressed this 3 years ago, but it hasn't been brought up since. Chexmix53 (talk) 22:25, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
