Partry (Irish: Pártraí) is a parish in County Mayo, Ireland. Partry is an ideal place for people with an interest in fishing to stay. It is located between Loughs Carra and Mask and is on the N84 between the towns of Castlebar and Ballinrobe.
An old name for Partry parish was Ballyovey, but the existing name comes from the word "Partraigh", which is the name of the tribe that lived in the area in ancient times.
A priest-hunter named Seán na Sagart was killed in Partry.
East of Partry lies the parish of Tourmakeady which is within a recognised Gaeltacht region. For example, Tourmakeady has an Irish speaking secondary school.
In 2004 Partry Athletic Football Club was formed by members of the local community. It proceeded to win Division 2 of the Mayo league the season after its formation.After micheal croian resigned as manager after three years in charge the donnoly brothers took over this year
