Participant Productions is an American movie studio, whose initial movies have gained critical acclaim and major film awards.[citation needed] The movies are typically based on current events and topical subjects, and presented in such a way that they are often perceived as promoting a liberal viewpoint.[citation needed]
The company was founded by Jeff Skoll, the second employee of eBay.
