M. P. Paramesh, known as "Eelathu Mellissai Mannan" M. P. Paramesh. He is the first Tamil record producer and composer in Sri Lanka. He was born on 16 December 1946 as son of poet and school principal Mr. Marimuthu Peethamparam and Mrs. Pottkodinayagi. In 1974 he married Sivamalini Namasivayam who was a Sangeethapushana. She was a graduate of Annamalai University in Madras, India. M. P. Paramesh composed his first love song for Sivamalini.
He composed, wrote and sang his first big hit in 1968 "Unnakku Theriuma". This song was famous all over Sri Lanka and is still an evergreen for Tamils all over the world. He released the first Tamil record which ever came out in Sri Lanka in 1969. He is the main part in the revolution of Sri Lankan Tamil music history.
At present he is living in Germany. He still composes songs and creates poems.
