Paradoxical laughter

Paradoxical laughter is an exaggurated expression of humour which is unwarranted by external events. It may be laughter which is uncontrollable by the person involved.It is associated with abnormal mental states and may be symptomatic of drug use, particularly cannabis use; or mental illness, such as mania or schizophrenia. It is indicative of an unstable mood, which can quickly change to anger and back again, on minor external cues.
