[edit] Summary

[edit] Wikipe-Tan

Wikipe-tan, a moe anthropomorphization of Wikipedia, similar in theme to an OS-tan. In Japanese animation, "moe" characters are those designed to elicit a protective or loving response from the audience. Moe anthropomorphism is a form of anthropomorphism where moé qualities are given to non-human beings, objects, concepts, or phenomena. Like many moe characters, Wikipe-tan is designed to be a cute young girl.

Wikipe-tan first appeared in the Futaba Channel on an unspecified date, drawn by Japanese Wikipedia user Kasuga. She is drawn in the "anime style" seen in many animations in Japan. Wikipe-tan is shown here dressed as a (Wo)man in Black, the symbol in her hair is a Chinese character which the author deemed appropriate for Wikipe-tan's new guise.

[edit] Paranormal Wikipie-tan

This specific image was designed by Perfectblue97 as a mascot for their user page, and for Project Paranormal. It is based on "Image:Wikipe-tan in black.png", but the head and legs have been substantially modified using using both GFDL and custom components.

The modifications were deemed necessary by Perfectblue97 because the original image deemed to be too stern, and to look too much like a secret service minder.

Under the terms of GFDL, this image is being released to the world and may be used, altered and redistributed freely (please be kind to her).
