Paolo Castellini (born 25 March 1979 in Brescia) is an Italian footballer. As of 2006 he plays for Parma after being released by Real Betis. [1]
Castellini joined Real Betis in 2004 from Torino, signing a 5-year-deal. But he made just 6 La Liga appearances before missing the remainder of the season with torn ligaments and cartilage in his right knee.
In 2005/06 season, He played two UEFA Champions League games and 6 La Liga games, never playing again due to a series of injuries, other than one appearance as a substitute in March. He was released by the club after they cancelled the remainder of his three-year contract.
He was a member of Italy U-21 team in UEFA U-21 Championship 2002.
