[edit] Advert tag

This article focuses on the products, or the charitable givings, and not the company itself. There are only five sentences that are about the company, and two of those are about the stores. Even the first sentence skews wrong. "Pandora Jewelry is a range of handcrafted charm bracelets..." But it's not. It's a company that produces a range of jewelry and has some retail outlets. There's no indication what type of company it is, what the ownership or management structure is like, that sort of thing. Because it focuses on the products and the PR (which is what the sponsorships are), it reads like advertising. Pairadox (talk) 05:49, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

I wrote this article as a product article, not as a company article. Considering I had written neither before in my life, I had no idea about the fact that what I had written was not considered appropriate. Side note - I've spent the past few days packing up my life in Sydney & moving back home so I haven't had much time to address the article since the problems were first identified. [edit] Prposed for deletion

Because this entire article is merely advertising for a product, and does in no way establish notability. Merely because a charm bracelet is different from other chram bracelets doesn't make it encyclopaedically notable —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.25.109.196 (talk) 11:29, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

According to the standards for products or companies (keeping in mind I wrote this as a product article, not a company article) the primary criterion is "A company, corporation, organization, team, religion, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject.". As this is the case in this article (I count at least of those as fitting the description given i.e. independent indepth coverage) I don't see what the problem is. My concern was, as you mention, that the article was basically about the jewelry, with scant information about the company itself. I have now removed the notability banner. The article still needs more information about the company itself. __meco (talk) 20:45, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
