Since Panarthapod claws are always on their legs couldn't the first two characterists be combined into have legs with distal claws? Eluchil404 13:41, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Claws

What does this article mean by "claw"? The term may refer to: a) curved hooklike appendage at the end of a limb or b) a grasping appendage consisting of two fingerlike projections at the end of the limb. In tardigrades, for instance, the claws are basically hooks, while in most arthropods, grasping appendages are referred to as claws, and the curved outgrowths are called hooks. Can anyone confirm this? --Crustaceanguy(t/co/cw) 02:08, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
