[edit] Not a "missing link"
I took out the line that read, 'In other words, another name for the "Missing Link."' The term "missing link" typically refers to a transitional fossil between an earlier (perhaps extinct) organism and a later one in the same line of descent. There is no "missing link" between humans and chimpanzees because humans are the cousins of chimpanzees, not their descendants. Cholling (talk) 21:16, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
