Panchlaish is located at 22.3667° N 91.8250° E . It has 37105 units of house hold and total area 27.45 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Panchlaish has a population of 193357. Males constitute are 59.39% of the population, and females 40.61%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 112099. Panchlaish has an average literacy rate of 59.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
