Panchet is a census town in Dhanbad district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As of 2001 India census[1], Panchet had a population of 8,353. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Panchet has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 56%. In Panchet, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
