Panacos Pharmaceuticals

Panacos Pharmaceuticals is a Delaware based pharmaceutical corporation founded in 1999. Panacos is engaged in the discovery and development of inventive therapeutics and technologies to help fight major viral illnesses. As of now, their focus is on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) anti-infectives, such as Bevirimat. Bevirimat is currently their only drug in clinical trials, the rest are in preclinical trials or only in the research phase of development. Panacos merged with V.I. Technologies, another Delaware based company, on March 11th, 2005.
