User:Pamela Gardiner
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pamela Gardiner was born in Dorset. After attending the Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester (then known as Dorchester Secondary Modern School) she graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Philosophy from the University of Southampton and spent a further four years at Kings College London undertaking post-graduate research on the Philosophy of Language and Culture. Four years spent in a very small village on the Isle of Anglesey, teaching English Literacy to unemployed native Welsh language speakers, consolidated her taste for empty beaches. In 2003 she gained qualified teacher status at the University of Reading.
This author is not a supporter of any particular political party or any religious faith. She writes nonsense verse and is an admirer of the work of Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear, Ivor Cutler, Spike Milligan and Mark E Smith. She appreciates attention to detail in whatever form it happens to take and is interested in Biography. Natural History and Modern Art. She is also, quite unexpectedly, a supporter of Reading Football Club. Currently making a wildlife garden on a very small patch of ground in a suburban backwater, she works as a teacher, poet and freelance editor.
