Note to disambiguators: The town contains the village, and is therefore correct even when the village is more precise. Therefore, use Palmyra (town), New York, unless you have reason to believe Palmyra (village), New York is more precise. Certainly for vague geographic reference (eg, where Joseph Smith found the the Book of Mormon), the town is as good as it gets. — Randall Bart (talk) 21:13, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
