I'm currently taking a biology course where I was informed that actually, monocot leaves do not contain palisade mesophyll. Wouldnt that contradict the statement that they are found in "all green plants" asserted in the first few lines of the article?

Yes, I suppose that's probably a good point. It's always mildly upsetting when you don't notice these things yourself. BFoot 01:47, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
