Paleosuchus is a South American genus of reptile in the Alligatoridae family. They are the smallest members of the order Crocodilia in the Americas. The genus contains two species:
- Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus).
- Smooth-fronted Caiman (Paleosuchus trigonatus).
