The Palazzo Versace (meaning Versace Palace) is a luxury hotel jointly owned by Australian company Sunland Group Ltd and Emirates Investments Group Australia Pty Ltd,[citation needed] and is the world's first Versace hotel.[citation needed] It is located on the Southport Spit at Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The hotel is the most expensive in Australia.[citation needed]

The 205 room, five-story main hotel opened in 2000.[citation needed] The complex has seventy-two neighbouring condominiums, three restaurants and a private marina.[1] The mailing address is 94 Seaworld Drive Main Beach QLD 4217.

The hotel became a focal point of world media attention on 4 January 2006, when long serving ruler of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum died of a heart attack while staying at the hotel.[citation needed]
The hotel is used during I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! as the "resting zone" for the celebrities that have already come out of the jungle during the show.[citation needed]

The developers have announced plans for a second Palazzo Versace Resort in Dubai and for another four situated around the world in capitals. The only city to be stated in plans so far is Paris.[citation needed]
