Palacio de los Deportes

Palacio de los Deportes (English: Sports Palace) is an indoor arena located in Mexico City, Mexico, within the sports complex Magdalena Mixhuca, near the Mexico City International Airport and near also of Foro Sol in which sports and artistic events are also celebrated; it is operated by Grupo CIE. It hosted the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games for the competitions of Basketball and can be used to host volleyball and basketball matches; it was the home of the CBA Mexico City Aztecas in 1994 and 1995.
Another common use is to host big expositions and rock concerts. The seating capacity is approximately 22,000. The arena also seats 17,800 for arena football.
Metallica's Live Shit: Binge & Purge is recorded there.
Rage Against the Machine recorded their show there for their video The Battle of Mexico City.
Part of Paul McCartney's Back in the World is recorded there.
My Chemical Romance's new live DVD will include footage from their gig there.
Both Interpol and The Strokes had played there their largest concerts in their career to a sold out audience.
Cafe Tacuba's Un Viaje is the recording of their 15th anniversary concert played there to a sold out audience.
Zoé also played to a sold out audience, on the recording of their 10th anniversary concert and recording of their first live CD/DVD.
It is connected by the Line 9 of Mexico City Metro with the station Velodromo .
