Description

The aftermath of the Paddington tram depot fire which destroyed the building and 65 trams. The burnt out wrecks of several trams remain perched on their tracks at the top of the picture. The superstructure of the depot was completely destroyed. The photo was taken from Warmington Street and shows the rear of the building. Bystanders crowd around to survey the damage.
