Pacific Border province
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pacific Border province is a physiographic province of the larger Pacific Mountain System. It consists of nine separate and smaller sections, the Puget Trough, Olympic Mountains, Oregon Coast Range, Klamath Mountains, California Trough, California Coast Ranges, Los Angeles Ranges, Aleutian Islands, and the Boundary Ranges.[1]
The region encompasses most of the North American Pacific coast, ending at the northern end of the Lower California (or Peninsular Ranges), in Southern California. The region is prone to earthquakes, residing along the eastern edge of the Pacific Ring of Fire.
