P. Allen Smith

P. Allen Smith is a American television show host and gardening expert. He is fourth generation nursery operator and majored in garden history and design at the University of Manchester in England before returning to the United States.
His television show P. Allen Smith's Garden Home is shown on PBS member stations and in syndication on other networks.
Allen started his career as a private tour guide, and then started teaching workshops, which then led to appearances on local television shows. He has appeared frequently on The Weather Channel, and other nationwide news programs teaching viewers gardening and design techniques. Allen has also written several books on gardening.
