Disclosure: Recordings from APCO Project 25 equipment testing done by the NTIS using Motorola XPS-2000 radios in digital and analog FM modes. Three original government recording segments were pasted together into a single file and had levels adjusted so all three segments were similar. Original files were 8KHz .voc raw format which were converted to the standard Wikipedia, OGG format. Consider this file in the public domain: it consists of three public domain sounds edited into a single file with the coding changed slightly.

  • First segment: original test audio.
  • Second segment: analog FM in a noisy, but usable, signal area.
  • Third segment: P25 recovered digital audio from a professional receiver.

Location: within a 50 mile radius of Capitol Peak transmitter site 46°58′24″N, 123°08′16″W, Washington, USA.
