Pål Pot Pamparius (pronounced pol) (born 18 June 1969) is the stage name of Pål Bøttger Kjærnes a member of Norwegian band Turbonegro. He is one of the original members of Turbonegro and formed the band in late 1980's alongside Happy-Tom and Rune Rebellion. In the band he plays the guitar and keyboards and is dressed as a leather soldier and wears a golden German army helmet.
He is presumably named after Cambodian Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot and the pizza-restaurant Pamparius in Kolbotn, which he started and used to own/work at. Kolbotn also being the birthplace of the Norwegian band Darkthrone The song The Age Of Pamparius by Turbonegro is a tribute to him and the restaurant. Pål has long been known for being a big fan of the American band Slayer.
