Oxted railway station serves Oxted in Surrey, in England. Train services from the station are provided by Southern.

Oxted was built as a joint London, Brighton and South Coast Railway/South Eastern Railway station when the South Croydon to East Grinstead line was opened on 10 March 1884. The main station buildings are on the Up side at street level; access to the Down side is by subway. There are tunnels at each end of the station:

  • Oxted Tunnel 1 mile 23 chains (2.07 km)[1] at the London end
  • Limpsfield Tunnel 551 yard (501 m) at the country end

On 1 November 2007 approval was given to install a lift from street level to platforms 2 and 3, at present only accessible by stairs.[2] Future proposals, possibly for completion by 2015, include platform lengthening to deal with twelve-car trains and inclusion in the extended Thameslink network.[3][4]
