[edit] Official university organisation?
Is OICCU an official university organisation, i.e. is it registered with the Proctors? I only began to wonder because the word University isn't part of its name and the part of the website that lists committee members and other officers doesn't mention a senior member, which I think all official university organisations have to have.--Oxonian2006 20:47, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. Not something I've any knowledge of myself, but I see that OICCU's constitution does contain mention of a Senior Member, though the website may not mention them elsewhere. Casper Gutman 21:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- Yes, it is an official organization, but it predates the convention that University societies use the "OU" prefix. The choice of name was a nod to the CICCU and both societies' original semi-federal structure. The current Senior Member is Jonathan Anelay (the University's Director of Legal Services and a Fellow of Green College).
