Founded by a practitioner and teacher of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga, now a "senior member" of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University and "visiting faculty member" at their headquarters in Mt Abu, India named Brian Bacon, the Oxford Leadership Academy is an international management consultancy and executive development company providing values-based leadership and strategic management services to business, governments and international agencies.

Brian Bacon is the creator of one of the world's most successful leadership development programs, the Self Management Leadership programme which has over 100,000 alumni from 56 countries and is licensed to and taught by the Brahma Kumaris. He is a former president of the World Business Academy in Washington, visiting scholar at the International Institute of Labour Studies in Geneva, and member of the EU international think tank on social cohesion. On 20 October 2006, Brian Bacon receives a commendation from the Mexican President Vicente Fox for outstanding service of the Oxford Leadership Academy to the Republic of Mexico during his term in office.
On a personal level he has been a practitioner and teacher of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga meditation for over 23 years. [1]
