Oxbow lake is included in the 2007 Wikipedia for Schools, or is a candidate for inclusion in future versions. Please maintain high quality standards, and make an extra effort to include free images, because non-free images cannot be used on the CDs.

[edit] Confusing

The wording of this article is terribly confusing. I had to do a search for another explination, and found one which did so simply and clearly. A brief diagram could quickly explain the matter to people not familiar with geographical terminology. The link below is what I used:
