[edit] Owyhee Gold Rush

The discovery of gold and silver in the region in 1863 resulted in a temporary influx of miners and the establishment of mining camps, most of whom have long since disappeared.

Not sure if a specfic gold rush story/article is to be had, but I think I've heard of a "gold rush on the Owyhee", though never aproper-name version as in the section title here; but it maybe is worth investigating? re gold rush cats, history cats etc that would then apply....Skookum1 (talk) 05:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
