Jolly, marching beat satirical/cynical song about life in an English prison. Released in summer 1967, aimed at the holiday season market. Its lyrics are witty and suggest prison guards are both corrupt and stupid, plus homophobic references about inmates.
Banned by the BBC because of its anti-establishment satirical lyrics, its only airtime was on the offshore pirate stations; notably Radio Caroline and Radio London.
