[edit] 'Third' World Feminism
Thanks so much for putting in that line on the main page for Third-world feminism. freedom Annawright 17:01, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Canadian music
Hi...could you please not file artists directly in Category:Canadian music if they're already in a subcategory such as Category:Canadian singer-songwriters, Category:Canadian rappers, Category:Music venues in Canada or Category:Leonard Cohen? Wikipedia has rules about this. Thanks. Bearcat 08:14, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Categories
The rule on Wikipedia is that an article cannot be filed in a category and a subcategory of the first category at the same time. Thus, an article cannot be filed simultaneously in both Category:South Asian Canadians and Category:Sri Lankan Canadians; similarly, an article cannot be filed simultaneously in both Category:Sri Lankan Canadians and Category:Sri Lankan Diaspora. Even if the categories "have different implications", if one's a subcategory of the other, an article still cannot be filed in both at the same time. Bearcat 22:27, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unblock
{{unblock}}
Innocent! My IP address has been tagged for vandalism, and its a bit worrying as it has nothing to do with me. This IP address is registered to a proxy server and is shared by multiple users. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking. In the event of vandalism from this address, efforts should be made to contact Shaw Communications, Inc. (proxy server) to report abuse. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using my particular machine
Its a bit of an inconvinence, but the block seems temporary so I suppose I'll grin and bare it for now. Hope this doesn't continue.
Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by RexNL for the following reason (see our blocking policy): "vandalism"
- OK, please note however we cannot see your IP address so if you need to request an unblock you need to give is the details of the block message, without them we cannot see the source of the block and cannot unblock. --pgk(talk) 20:36, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha
Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
