Outremont is a station on the Blue Line of the Montreal Metro in the Outremont borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
[edit] Origin of name
The station takes its name from the borough (formerly city) of Outremont, in which it is located. The area acquired this name in the mid-nineteenth century as it lay "outre-mont" or "beyond the mount" from Ville-Marie, the original settlement in the Montreal area.
