Outdoorsmen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Outdoorsmen are men who enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping out in the woods. Typically, they live in the northern United States or Canada. Stereotypically, they are flannel wearing, beard toting men like Paul Bunyan or the Brawny paper towel mascot.
[edit] The Outdoorsmen competition
Recently, the term has not only applied to those who hunt and fish in the woods, but also a group of sportsmen who compete in beer games. Akin to the beer olympics, these men escape to the woods once a year to compete in self invented, beer related events. These rituals can be seen in the documentaries The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat & Beers(2005) and Outdoorsmen (2002).
