With regards to the derivation of "Ouistreham" from "Westerham": certainly this seems plausible, but why on earth would a Norman village have a Saxon/Old English placename?
I realize the Norman Conquest opened up a lot of connections across the Channel, but I had thought it was pretty one-sided. --Saforrest 17:43, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
