[edit] CFL expansion
Since the League is expanding to Ottawa (again). Does that mean the Renegades will be folded? GoodDay (talk) 22:09, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I understand it, it's the same franchise. So in fact the opposite, the team's technically being revived. J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 05:03, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- With the new group being forced to pay expansion fees again. I would say that the Renegades are dead and the new team is a separate expansion club. In any case I believe the new ownership group is treating them as a separate franchise, disavowing any connections with the Renegades (or the Rough Riders for that matter). This issue won't be settled until they announce the name of the team. Even with the expansion fee, if they call themselves Renegades it is a continuation.Lord Cornwallis (talk) 03:39, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
