The The Missing Barnstar is designed for Wikipedians who are long overdue for a Barnstar due to their efforts, if they've ever received one at all for that matter (apparently their Barnstar was missing). The Missing Barnstar was introduced by Karmafist on September 1, 2005.
This barnstar is alternatively used as an award for finding a hidden user subpage. When used in this way, it is called The Hidden Barnstar. However, this image is sometimes used instead. This different use was introduced by Penubag on June 1, 2007.
