Says here Osric was killed by agents of Cadwallon, but although I can't find any sources that state the manner of his death one way or another, it makes a lot of sense to me that he would have been killed during the disaster at York. Stenton says this, which seems to suggest I am correct:
"Osric...maintained himself as king in Deira until...Cadwallon destroyed him and his army."
Does anyone know better than I do? Everyking 19:27, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)
