Ozi Amanat – Harvard University Graduate talks about the importance of helping others, his respect for his family and his new career.
The Harvard University graduate focuses on the building of financial bridges to synergize good intentions with investing assets to benefit society. Ozi Amanat is a seasoned successful fund manager who helped his family build a financial trading and technology company named as one of the top 50 companies in the United States by Red Herring Magazine. For the past decade Mr. Amanat has focused on managing assets trading stocks, bonds, futures and global securities. Applying his business savvy to this work, he has succeeded in making astounding profits for both himself and his clients. Mr. Amanat committed himself to donating half of his trading profits to charitable causes. Because of his proven track record, as well as his humanitarian goals, he has been able to attract investors and philanthropists to his financial workings, simultaneously improving and enriching communities while making a great return on their capital. He believes in a simple philosophy: "To live is to add value to society, whether it is politics, medicine, law or business; the nature of the world dictates harmony and self worth in the building of bridges and the helping of those in need. Giving is at the heart of the matter of life. Managing money and turning it into profits for good people works its way back into society, making the world a better place." Mr. Amanat is a board member of the non-profit Abraham's Vision, the recipient of this year's $100,000 commitment from the Clinton Global Initiative and is a member of Synergos Global Philanthropist Circle.
Mr. Amanat helped build a majority family owned business Tradescape Corporation, a next-generation brokerage and technology firm that processed over 10% of NASDAQ's daily trading volume and was one of the largest electronic brokerage firms in the United States (by trading volume) in 2002 when it sold to E*Trade for consideration worth $280 million, becoming E*Trade's largest shareholder.[1] Tradescape was named as one of the "Top 50 Private Companies" in the United States by Red Herring Magazine.[2]
Amanat's family recently began to explore using the power of film to achieve social change with a $200 million feature film company with a mission to "make films that will change the world" and also helped to create and is a founding board member of a $1 billion new Hollywood studio/production and distribution venture that produces and distributes 12 Hollywood feature films per year.
