Osbaston, Leicestershire

Osbaston is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 266. The village is located about seven miles north of Hinckley and near to Newbold Verdon, Market Bosworth and Barlestone.

The landmark Osbaston Toll Gate and the hamlet of Osbaston Hollow both lie on the A447 road more than a mile NNW of the village. Francis Noel Clarke Mundy, poet, was born here in 1739.
