Orpen Camp

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Orpen Rest Camp is one of the smaller camps in the Kruger National Park.

It is situated centrally, on the western border of the park, amongst rolling plains and diverse vegetation. It is named after the donor of the land, Eileen Orpen.

The diversity of the surrounding habitat attracts many browsers, in turn attracting carnivores like lion, leopard, cheetah.

The camp is next to a waterhole that is lit at night, and also has a small shop, a fuel shop, and a swimming pool. The older houses in the camp have recently been revamped.
