Orlando Fury

The Orlando Fury were an ice hockey team from Orlando, Florida. The team was formed created when the Kissimee Fury moved to a full arena off International Drive in southern Orlando. In the 1999-2000 season, the Fury was coached by Michael Bromberg. Bromberg was joined part-way through the season by Assistant Coach Chris Taylor on the bench. The Fury lead the regular season most of the way with Matt Hampton and Rob Churcher leading the league in points Dallas Pengelly in assists and Chris Affinati leading the league in fighting majors. The team went bankrupt after the season. In the 1998-1999 season their Captain was Mike Paralovos and the Assistant Captains were Jessy Berube and Rob Cordeiro. In the final campaign in 1999-2000, their captain was Rob Churcher and Assistant Captains were Matt Hampton and Chris Affinati who plays professional hockey in his 6th year for the Knoxville Bears in the SPHL. Bromberg is currently coaching in the top youth AAA hockey league for the Chicago Young Americans in Chicago, Illinois. Taylor is a photojournalist in Tampa, Florida.
