[edit] Fédération Cynologique Internationale does not list the Ori-Pei

There are many other internet registries for pets (and puppy-mills) that register new or mixed breeds with little documentation for a price, perhaps the Ori-Pei is registered with one of them? Some actually use the initials of reputable registries. The real FCI does not show an Ori-Pei (April 2008.) According to Dog Breed Info the Ori-Pei is a cross-breed. (Cross-breeds are bred from two purebreds for the hybrid vigor of the first generation, not a breed.)

Need documentation to prove whether this is a breed. Also needs a format (see Recommended article structure).

The idea of trying to create a breed for good health is interesting, is it documented at all -- are there vet records or research that shows them to be more healthy? --Hafwyn (talk) 17:43, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
