Orange Line
The Orange Line is one of three light rail lines operated by the San Diego Trolley, an operating division of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. It currently operates between Centre City San Diego and El Cajon. Other Trolley lines include the Blue and Green lines.
[edit] History
Orange Line service began in 1986, initially operating between downtown San Diego and Euclid Avenue. The East Line, as it was then called, kept its name after successive extensions to Spring Street, El Cajon, along the Bayside in downtown San Diego, and Santee. It was renamed the Orange Line in 1997. Service between Gillespie Field and the Santee Town Center was replaced by the Green Line in 2005.
