[edit] Other OSs
Now what I want to know is- does it run Linux? --maru (talk) Contribs 00:22, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
- It can, theoretically, run any x86 OS. -Sammysunset 22:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Not evolving fast enough
Looks like OQO got a head start at UMPC, however, its high cost may be its demise. Samsung, ASUS, and Founder UMPCs all look comparative but with much attractive price tag. Both intel and MS sites only list those three makers. Samsung Q1 sold out on its first day of sale.
- I think the Samsung is a tablet PC, the ASUS doesn't have a physical keyboard and the Sony 5% cheaper but much larger. These things are all just toys anyway, so I would prefer the OQO for reasons I can't explain.--Old Guard 12:34, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chipset Instructions
RISC or CISC? --Bushido Hacks 05:00, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Its x86, so CISC. Windows XP doesn't run on any RISC platforms... --Kiand 21:54, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question for Discussion
The PCWorld quote is odd given the upgrades to the subsequent models, but I have no expertise to know if the quote should now be dropped. For instance, does anyone know if the unit still runs "too hot"?
A: I have an OQO e2 HSPDA 120gb and no it doesn't run too hot. The e2 has two modes "Cool" or "Quiet", I run mine in quiet and in Vista's power saver mode. Reviews do say it runs annoyingly hot though, but I think that must be down to personal preference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.155.27.238 (talk) 22:51, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sighted in Mission Impossible 3.
Is it pertinent to mention that the OQO appeared in Mission Impossible 3?
It's at 43:50.
I wouldn't think so. It's also in "Jericho" the US tv series. 82.33.46.11 22:51, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Keyboard commands
What are these doing here? I don't think that they add anything to this article. --Thenickdude 13:37, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree This should be deleted--Leon 07:24, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Oqo logo.svg
Image:Oqo logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
