Optimax

Optimax is the UK’s leading laser eye specialist. Optimax was founded in 1992 by Russell Ambrose, to provide the most advanced laser eye treatment at an affordable price.
Back then, he was Optimax’s first patient and he has never worn glasses since. Optimax has grown to be the UK’s largest laser company with 20 clinics; and has carried out over 250,000 treatments.
OptiMax is also the brand name of a family of 2-stroke, direct-injected outboard and sportjet engines manufactured and sold by Mercury Marine, Fond du lac, WI, a division of Brunswick Corporation.
As of 2008, the OptiMax family of engines was available from 75hp to 300hp in outboard configuration and in 200 and 250hp models in the sportjet configuration.
OptiMax engines are sold worldwide.
A sub-brand of OptiMax, the "Pro XS" family of engines also exists. This family of engines were introduced in 2004 and as of 2008 are available in 175, 225 and 250hp models.
