Operative is a global organization that provides its clients with technology and services to improve all aspects of the digital advertising lifecycle, from pre-sales to collections, trafficking to reconciliation. Operative has three product lines: Managed Services- which includes campaign management and trafficking expertise, Professional Services- facilitating software implementation and business consulting, and the Operative Dashboard™- an ASP software solution that serves as an end-to-end workflow management, and enables media publishers to automate contract management, product packaging and pricing, inventory management, campaign reporting and revenue recognition.

Headquartered in New York, Operative has offices in Los Angeles and London and employs roughly 280 people worldwide. Operative provides services for some of the top media companies such as CBS Radio, Dow Jones, National Public Broadcasting, NBC Universal,Smart Money, Constant Contact, iVillage, and Fox Interactive Media (MySpace).

In December, 2007, Operative CEO Mike Leo was named in the Silicon Alley 100, coming in at number 85.[1] Mike Leo was also recognized by the Madison Avenue IT list for January 2008.[2]

Inc 5000 has listed Operative Media #712 out of the top 5,000 companies for 2007, as well as ranked Operative as #56 in the Top Companies in Software, and #55 in the Top Companies in New York, Northern New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.[3]
