Operational Ground Supervision (OGS) is a modern military concept that refers to the tactical employment of control measures and surveillance in a certain area of ground within an area of operation in order to control the movement of all parties in an armed conflict as its main objective. This is done by the employment checkpoints and mobile patrols and static observation posts in order to ensure the strategic, tactical military ground transports necessary in the process of carrying on combatrelated tasks, including movement, supply, attack, defense, and maneuvers needed to achieve the main objectives of the mission.

Operational Ground Supervision is adopted as the main tactical concept for ground based operations by the Nordic Battle Group.The Swedish name for Operational Ground Supervision is Mark Operativ Kontroll (MOK)
