The Open Source Business Resource (OSBR) is a free monthly publication of the Talent First Network that examines the issues relevant to the development and commercialization of open source assets. Articles are contributed by leaders of open source projects, directors of open source foundations, and executives of companies who use, support, and advocate open source solutions. The publication itself is created on FreeBSD using the Scribus desktop publishing program.

- help create the right environment for companies to commercialize goods and services based on open source assets
- remove barriers to the commercialization of open source assets
- surface the open source related activity that is going on in companies, universities and governments
- evolve to satisfy the needs of companies that use open source to compete
