Open Notebook is an open source concept/idea/implementation of system that will allow documents/novels/dissertations etc to be electronically designed using a graphical interface.
An end user will be able to design a template for the type of document they are working on, be it fictional novel, scientific paper or thesis which will then allow construction. The project goals are:
- Cross platform for all major operating systems.
- Template developers to share their designs and generate an extensive template library
- System is extendable by design, easily allowing new features to be added
- Well documented, all API's and configuration files are documented at a professional level
