Description
English: Utapao, Thailand (Jan. 15, 2005) — The Operation Unified Assistance logo. The logo was approved Jan. 15 and represents the supplies given to the affected people of Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia after a magnitude 9.0 earthquake Dec. 26 triggered devastating tsunamis. More than 18,000 Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers and Coast Guardsmen with Combined Support Force Five Three Six (CSF-536) working with international militaries and non-governmental organizations to support in the relief effort. A combined support force of host nations, civilian aid organizations and U.S. Department of Defense are working together during this historic operation.
